Crazy skills during World Of Street Football 2020!

World Of Street Football

On Saturday September 12th and Sunday September 13th World Of Street Football returned to Rotterdam, the most beautiful city in the Netherlands. World Of Street Football was a must-see event of Rotterdam Street Culture Weekend. As a football fan, this was an event you absolutely had to attend. For the street footballers among us, there were super cool battles going on. Think about 1vs1 Panna Knock Out & freestyle Knock out Championships.

Saturday September 12 was the time for the youth to prove themselves at the NK Panna Knock Out. It was played in two age categories: 8-13 years & 14-17 years. During the day there were many cool tricks from different participants. As a fan of freestyle and Panna football, we strongly recommend that you keep a close eye on the upcoming crop!

World Finals

In addition, the World Finals were played with the 16 world top players, to decide who can call themselves the ultimate champion. The World Finals was all about knocking away and humiliating your opponent using the craziest skills & tricks with the ultimate goal; the Panna. This consisted of a maximum of 3 rounds of 2 minutes. The skills in the World Finals were judged by legend Edward van Gils, Orry Promes & Djuric ascencion AKA Djudju.

Panna Knock Out winner

On Sunday, September 13, players from all over the world competed for the title at the Panna Knock Out World Finals. After many beautiful and surprising battles, masters such as Jasseminho & Easy Man went down. A surprising finale ensued when Noah Kofi faced Liicht in the “ring”. This was an important moment in their careers for both, but Liicht already with more experience. After many actions, Noah Kofi ended the final with a Panna! He is therefore the rightful number 1 Panna king in the world.

Freestyle K.O. Championships

The freestyle Knock out championships were also held on Sunday 13 September. The final had an old trusted participant, namely current champion Jesse Marlet! He competed in the final against the dreaded PWG freestyle. Jesse was alien doing his bizarre tricks as usual and managed to win. Jesse Marlet can call himself two-time world champion Freestyle K.O. now.

As icing on the cake, we at WSF arranged that the legendary Sean Garnier came to present. He brought a good vibe with him and of course had fun facts as a legend.

Organization

The brains behind the WSF event, Danijel Ribaric and organizer, Stefan Molendijk look back with pride and enthusiasm as they look back at the hundreds of participants and their skills. Shout out to the sponsors of the WSF who have made all this possible by providing a stage for the different disciplines of street football.

Panna Knock Out is growing fast. The community is getting bigger and bigger: physically it was not what we expected due to Corona, but online reach of millions has been achieved through the various social media channels.

Our goal to get young people to play street football makes miles in sixth gear. “” With street football you get many positive life lessons that you can use in your growth as a person, including perseverance to get the most out of your life. A good example is Achmed Rakaba who went to play Panna as a refugee from Libya in Germany, now has a residence permit and a contract with a sportswear brand, “said Stefan Molendijk and Danijel Ribaric.
