These players have number 34 in honor of Appie Nouri

Abdelhak Nouri, former top talent of Ajax, has turned 22 today. This is a reason for many to congratulate him and to support him. In September 2016, Nouri made his debut in the first team of Ajax where he immediately scored a goal. A great future awaited him, unfortunatly he became unwell in July 2017 in a friendly match against Werder Bremen and this left serious and permanent brain damage.

Appie Nouri was often present at Panna Knock Out tournaments during his youth and showed many times his awesome talent and skills. In the video below, you can see Appie during one of our tournaments in Amsterdam, the place he grow up.

To honor Appie, Ajax has assigned number 34 forever to him. There are also players abroad who honor him by playing with number 34. We have made an overview for you with some players who play or played with this number.

Amin Younes

Former teammate of Appie and a good friend. To honor him, Amin Younes has chosen to play at SSC Napoli with number 34.

Justin Kluivert

Justin Kluivert plays at AS Roma with number 34 as a tribute to his big friend. After his first goal for Roma, Kluivert showed a shirt with Nouri’s name and number.

Ousmane Dembélé

Ousmane Dembélé is currently one of the star players of FC Barcelona. However, he has the name and number of Nouri printed on his football shoes. The Frenchman knows Nouri from international youth tournaments.

Kevin-Prince Boateng

Kevin-Prince Boateng is currently playing at FC Barcelona with back number 19. In his season at Las Palmas he wore an undershirt with the name of Nouri and the text “praying 4 you” during every match.

Terry Lartey Sanniez

Terry Lartey Sanniez played with Nouri in the youth of Ajax and has now chosen for number 34 by his current club NEC.

Phillipe Sandler
Philippe Sandler also played with Appie in the youth of Ajax. At this moment he plays at Manchester City and wears number 34.

Anwar El Ghazi

Mauro Savastano and Appie Nouri were teammates in Ajax’s youth academy for many years. Currently he is playing for AZ. He previously played at Go Ahead Eagles with number 34.

Damil Dankerlui

Damil Dankerlui is also a youth friend and former teammate of Appie. He left Ajax for Willem II and started playing with number 34 in Tilburg. For this season the defender has number 15 on his back.
